Piano Power Exercises

The Piano Power Exercises books are designed for beginning to intermediate students and are seventy-four pages in length. They are a great investment in that they provide at least six months to a year's worth of work for students. The material is challenging and interesting for both children and adults.

Piano Power Exercises, Volume I,  offer three categories (Small Hand, Medium Hand, Large Hand) to choose from depending on your hand size as illustrated in Piano Power, A Breakthrough Approach to Improving Your Technique:

"The Small Hand is able to stretch an octave over the keys. (Fig. 26). However, when a ninth is attempted with the palm over the keys, the notes adjacent to the thumb and fifth fingers also are depressed to some degree. Therefore, a clean ninth cannot be managed unless the palm is in front of the keys."

"The Medium Hand is able to stretch a ninth over the keys. (Fig. 28). However, when a tenth is attempted with the palm over the keys, the notes adjacent to the thumb and fifth fingers also are depressed to some degree. Therefore, a clean tenth cannot be managed unless the palm is in front of the keys."

"The Large Hand is able to stretch a tenth over the keys. (Fig. 29). However, when an 11th is attempted with the palm over the keys, the notes adjacent to the thumb an fifth fingers also are depressed to some degree. Therefore, a clean 11th cannot be managed unless the palm is in front of the keys."
